As a girl, you never forget prom, whether it was a fun time or the worst day of your life. However, no matter how your prom went in high school or how ugly your date was, it is always exciting to watch those younger than you get excited about it. Especially when you get to take pictures of your brother, his girlfriend, and all their friends who attend your alma mater.
I had a great time attending my prom during my junior year. However, my senior year did not go as planned. I asked a guy to my prom as a friend because he had asked me to attend his in the same manor. Little did I know, he had a crush on me and our friendship didn't end well before I left to attend college at the end of the summer.
Getting to take pictures of this amazing group of seniors was so much fun and exciting for me, as if I was able to relive my high school days, if only for a little while. The weather was absolutely gorgeous for taking pictures Saturday night, although the lighting was a little harsh but we were able to find some shadow spots for getting some nice pictures. The Grahams were so inviting to open up their home for me to take pictures and for this group of seniors to have a gourmet homemade dinner on their scenic back porch.
Seeing this group of young men and women, about to attend prom, graduate and start a new chapter in their lives, makes me hopeful of all the great things they will accomplish.
Congratulations to the Class of 2014!
